چکیده

Introduction SIAE is involved in the maintenance of immunological tolerance through negative regulation of Β-cell receptor (BCR) signaling. Recent evidences, though conflicting, indicate that rare loss-of-function SIAE variants are associated with susceptibility to various autoimmune diseases. Advances in understanding JIA pathophysiology have led to the consensus that systemic JIA (SJIA) is an autoinflammatory disorder while oligo/polyarticular JIA (O/PJIA) is an antigen-driven lymphocytemediated autoimmune disease.

SIAE Rare Variants in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and Primary Antibody Deficiencies

Sialic acid acetylesterase (SIAE) deficiency was suggested to lower the levels of ligands for sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like receptors, decreasing the threshold for B-cell activation. In humans, studies of rare heterozygous loss-of-function mutations in SIAE gene in common autoimmune diseases, including juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), yielded inconsistent results. Considering the ...

PReS-FINAL-2020: Cell type specific transcriptome analysis in patients with enthesitis related arthritis category of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA-ERA)

Introduction Enthesitis Related Arthritis Category of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA-ERA) is the most common category of JIA seen in Asian Indians. Transcriptome analysis is a useful tool to analyse pathways involved in disease pathogenesis. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) and SFMC analysis showed involvement of innate immune cells in JIA-ERA. However PBMC/SFMC have variable numbe...

PReS-FINAL-2031: Hyaluronic acid is a marker of active arthritis, but not systemic inflammation in systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis

Introduction Systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is a subtype of childhood arthritis associated with significant systemic inflammation as well as arthritis. Hyaluronic acid as a constituent of connective tissue has previously been described as a marker for arthritis in JIA in an Asian population. Mutations in hyaluronic acid synthase 2 leading to accumulation of hyaluronic acid have be...
